Local Maple Sugaring
Spring is sugar season in Vermont, and local sugarhouses are hard at work boiling maple sap down to the sweet pure Vermont maple syrup you love! Between March and early April you'll find Maple Open Houses and all things maple sap and maple syrup. But beyond the spring, local farms and sugaring operations love to share their knowledge and send you home with Pure Vermont Maple Syrup (buy the bigger jug, trust us!).

Bourdon Maple Farm
In the hills of Woodstock, this family maple sugaring farm has been operating since 1953. The 10,000 tap sugarbush spans 135 acres of forest! Make an appointment for a tour and tasting, available year-round, or join in the annual Maple Open House Weekends in March.
Passionista Tip: Schedule a tasting to try the different maple syrup grades to learn which one you like best before buying some to take home!

Top Acres Farm
In South Woodstock, you'll find the historic and family-run Top Acres Farm sugaring operation. Tours and tastings are available by request through our concierge (802-457-6609).
Passionista Tip: If you can't make it out to Top Acres Farm for a tour or tasting, just stop by our Resort Gift Shop. The maple syrup we sell is produced by Top Acres Farm!

Sugarbush Farm
Another local favorite farm and sugarhouse is Sugarbush Farm. Along with their large maple sugaring operation, they make cheese, meats, and other maple sugar products. The farm is open daily and encourages you to take a self tour and try their delicious samples!
Passionista Tip: Wait to eat lunch until after you visit Sugarbush Farm. You'll want to have room for their samples and purchase tasty products for snacking.
