Mt. Peg Nordic

Mt. Peg Trails

Owned and operated by the Woodstock Nordic Center, the large trail network has wide, groomed trails with set tracks for classic skiing and skate skiing. Just out the doors from the Nordic Center are miles of easy trails that loop across the resort's golf course. Head up in the woods for more challenging terrain that opens to a beautiful view of the village below.

A large retail shop, rental equipment, and lessons are available.

Passionista Tip: If you're new to the sport, book a lesson to learn the basics and feel comfortable before exploring the beautiful woods trails on Mt. Peg and Mt. Tom (see below). A day pass at the Woodstock Nordic Center gives you access to both trail networks!

Mt. Tom & the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller-National Historical Park

This large trail network in Vermont's only national park is maintained and groomed in the winter months by the Woodstock Nordic Center team. Wide carriage roads host multi-use trails for snowshoeing and walking, but hidden gems and beautiful scenic spots are tucked throughout the large network that overlooks the village of Woodstock.

A day pass from the Woodstock Nordic Center is required, where a large retail shop, rental equipment, and lessons are also available.

Passionista Tip: Ask an expert at the Woodstock Nordic Center to map out a route based on your ability - be sure to have them include a route up to the peak!
