Where To Find Covered Bridges In Vermont This Fall
One of the best things to do when you vacation in Vermont is to take a driving tour of all the local covered bridges. It will allow you to see the beautiful fall nature and the quintessential covered bridge design nested in the Vermont woods. Middle Covered Bridge
The Middle Covered Bridge is one of the longest-covered bridges in Vermont as it stretches 139 feet across the Ottauquechee River. The bridge was built in 1969 to replace an 1877 iron bridge, then, in 1974 the bridge was set on fire, but was later repaired. The bridge features a separate footpath for walking, is located in the heart of the Woodstock Village, and is a prime photography spot for wonderful photos to remember your visit by.
Taftsville Covered Bridge
Here is another very long covered bridge in Vermont. The Taftsville Covered Bridge is about spans 190 feet across the Ottauqeuchee River, just downstream from Woodstock, Vermont. Construction on the bridge was completed in 1836, but this bridge has been through a lot too. The bridge Withstood Hurricane Irene, countless ice dams on the river below, and more throughout the years!

Lincoln Covered Bridge
The Lincoln Covered Bridge was built in 1877 and covers 136 feet. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the bridge overlooks the Ottauquechee River making it one of the better places in the state to snap gorgeous fall photos!
