Snow & Syrup at Vermont's Most Beautiful Address

Starting Spring

The month of March is split down the middle with both winter and spring trying to tip the scales. This year winter is starting strong! With over 16 inches of fresh powder, March is feeling extra snowy and is beckoning you out to ski, snowshoe, and play. Wood-burning fires keep us cozy at night and soon the daytime warmth will begin to melt the ice…and sap in the maple trees! By the end of the month, spring will have taken the lead to bring sunny days, rushing rivers, and the sweetest season to Woodstock, Vermont.

Time to Ski

Not only is there still plenty of time left in the season to escape to the ski slopes, but with all the fresh snow and full winter feeling the last week of February brought, now is the perfect time to hit the trails! March will mix powder days with spring skiing – both highly contested as favorite conditions. Here’s how you can ski, snowboard, and more during March:

  • Saskadena Six is open through April 1. Wednesday-Friday until March 12, then Friday-Sunday for the final weekends of the season, wrapping up the year with a Season Passholder Day on Saturday, April 1!
  • The Woodstock Nordic Center remains open daily as long as we have snow on the trails! Our team is known to keep you cross-country skiing and snowshoeing into April.

Sweetest Season

The maple sugaring season is just around the bend! Cold nights followed by warm days make the sap in our local maple trees start to flow, so nearby farmers are preparing to make Vermont’s liquid gold. Did you know each gallon of maple syrup requires nearly forty gallons of sap? It’s a sweet time of year to plan a getaway too. Our Sugar Season Packages give you sweet deals on spring stays, including our luxurious accommodation, daily breakfast, and even credit at The Spa!
