Celebrating 50 Years of Luxury

On November 23, 1969 Laurance and Mary Rockefeller proudly cut the ribbon in front of the newly built Woodstock Inn. This ceremony commenced a growing wave of travelers and guests to the Village of Woodstock. 50 years later the Rockefeller’s Woodstock Inn still stands as a symbol of historic hospitality and has grown to the idyllic Resort we know and cherish. Updates and additions have enhanced our Resort offerings while maintaining the Rockefeller's devotion to historic preservation and sustainability. During the upcoming year we are excited to celebrate the last 50 years of this beautiful property and embark on the next half century!

Scents of the Holidays

The smell of wood burning fires, fragrant pine trees, and warm cookies fresh from the oven are sure to spark thoughts of the holidays in New England. Every year our pastry elves put together a display of true holiday spirit when they build the life-sized gingerbread house for our Lobby. Adorned with your favorite candies and large enough for you to step inside, the edible architecture is a favorite for guests, locals, and of course the kids love it! This year’s house will be under construction during the first week of December, so stop by with the family during the holidays to leave a letter for Santa, enjoy a drink from the bar, and relish the warm scents of gingerbread wafting through the Inn.

Stockings Full of Fun

Our quaint village evokes charm and cheer for the holidays. Twinkling lights, fresh snow and jingling sleigh bells all mark the commencement of the festivities in Woodstock, Vermont. We will stuff your stockings full of fun winter activities during Christmas Week . Grab your boots and coats and hit the trails on snowshoes for either a guided lunch hike, or a twilight trek to see gorgeous mountain views. Stay warm and get cooking with the kids during our family baking classes or join us for an adults-only night of wine, wit and wisdom! All week long we have game nights, movie marathons, kids’ obstacle courses, story time by the fire and a visit with Santa! After all these adventures you are sure to want to feast like royalty and our holiday dining options will leave you fulfilled.

Ring in the Roaring 20s!

The Roaring 20's are back! We are prepared to throw the bash of the decade to say goodbye to 2019 and ring in the next 10 years. Grab the glitter, sparkles and champagne and join us for a Roaring 20s themed gala with live music, divine desserts, and so much dancing. Before jiving all night, enjoy chef-crafted cuisine from one of our three New Year’s Eve dining options. Grab your friends, dig out the flapper dresses and Gatsby-inspired tuxes and get ready to toast to 2020 at midnight!

Snow on Suicide Six’s slopes and the Nordic Center trails mean one thing – ski season is here! No matter how you play in ski season, we have the winter package for you.

For the extra adventurous family: Our Unlimited Snowsports Package. Explore all day with unrestricted skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, fat tire biking and Nordic skiing!

For the Alpine-only family: Our Family First Run Package; including day passes to Suicide Six, a family group lesson, daily breakfast and a s’mores kit for après ski!
